A Pottery Planter

Description

Planters are made from clay and fired into pottery using a kiln, campfire, forge or oven. Once fired, a planter can be placed individually or be placed in a planter rack. When examined they read:

  • A clay planter that could be hardened by fire. (Clay Planter)
  • A clay planter hardened by fire. (Pottery Planter)

Uses

A Clay planter can be placed decoratively but cannot accept plants. A pottery planter can be used to grow crops that cannot otherwise be farmed in a field. These include:

  • Basil
  • Belladonna
  • Fennel (you must pick seeds first by right-click > pick seeds)
  • Lovage
  • Mint
  • Oregano
  • Parsley
  • Rosemary
  • Sage
  • Thyme
  • Sassafras (Modded)
Spices
  • Cumin
  • Ginger
  • Paprika (you must pick seeds first by right-click > pick seeds)
  • Tumeric (you must pick seeds first by right-click > pick seeds)
  • Nutmeg (Modded)
  • Cocoa Bean (Modded)
Berries
  • Blueberry (Modded)
  • Lingonberry (Modded)
  • Raspberries (Modded)
Mushrooms
  • Black Mushroom (Modded)
  • Blue Mushroom (Modded)
  • Brown Mushroom (Modded)
  • Green Mushroom (Modded)
  • Red Mushroom (Modded)
  • Yellow Mushroom (Modded)
Other
  • Woad
  • Nettles (Modded)

Notes

  • Planted herbs die over time. (Harvesting can prolong the plant's life)
  • The quality of the picked product is determined by your gardening skill, but uses the harvester formula.
  • Cannot be watered.
  • Can only be planted or secured if the pottery planter is above 10 effective quality.
